After captaining the varsity team at Aliso Niguel High School, Coach Shota went on to play line 1 and 2 singles and doubles at Saddleback College for two years where he qualified for the conference finals in Ojai.

He has experience traveling in the futures tour, challenger tour, and ATP level, and specializes in coaching point development while also being a hitting partner for multiple college athletes in Orange County.
